Jon Mottashed
Managing Director
Jon is a former BP Crude Oil Trading Book Lead for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, a role in which he led a diverse team including 12 traders responsible for all entrepreneurial trading, equity crude oil sales and refinery supply in the region. He has a strong track record for delivery in a world class trading environment. He was educated at Imperial College London and has over 27 years experience working with oil majors (BP and ExxonMobil) in senior trading, oil refining and supply/logistics roles. He is a Chartered Chemical Engineer, Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and has membership of the Expert Witness Institute. His key areas of expertise include physical crude trading, paper trading, risk management including hedging techniques, the upstream and downstream trading interfaces, 3rd party marketing and crude supply deals, contract negotiation, refining technology, refining optimisation and crude oil valuation.
Andree Mottashed
Director
Andree has a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University and throughout her career has worked for ExxonMobil in a number of process engineering and supply/trading roles including refinery planning, refining optimisation and shipping. These roles have given her outstanding analytical skills and both breadth and depth in logistics processes and optimisation. Andree successfully navigated the demands of being a mother of young children whilst developing her career but ultimately chose to take a career break through the key developmental years for her children. She has returned to work to harness the key skills that she developed in her earlier career.
David Mottashed
Senior Associate
David is a commercial, contracts and procurement executive with a track record of leading business transformation and delivering step change cost and efficiency improvements within both the private and public sector throughout his career in BP, BG Group, Shell and the NHS (UK National Health Service). He has successfully managed multi-billion pound third party spend, covering Capex and Opex across complex global portfolios. He has led the successful implementation of Contracts and Procurement integration following mega-company take-overs. Throughout his career he has demonstrated his ability to deliver substantial bottom line improvements within high risk environments whilst concurrently driving a strong safety culture and mitigating ethical conduct risks.
